I am no expert in jewelery, but this piece could hold some real value. It is an older item made in France. The chain seems like silver, but could be something like pewter (I said I am not an expert) The pendant has beautiful stone setting in what appear to be gold, but again, I am just not sure. It was donated with no value given, and we did not have it appraised. You bid what you think it may be worth to you and to the dogs here at the sanctuary. It may be a gem, it may be a dud, but either way it will help the dogs in need
